Join us for our 8-week Yoga as Healing Program: designed to support BIPOC identified UCSF students. During each trauma-informed yoga class, we will explore a designated theme interwoven with the physical (asana) yoga practice. Yoga as Healing can be transformative for individuals and can provide an opportunity to explore the connections we feel within our bodies. This program will explore reconnection to the self through mind and body awareness, support participants in becoming grounded in the present moment, and discuss the importance of rest.
Andrea Rocha is our instructor for the program. Andrea (Drey) Rocha M.Ed., 500-RYT, is a passionate educator whose teaching style is based on respect and reverence for all beings. Energy and care are demonstrated through the intentional commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment.
