Co-Director of CARE Program
Bio
Kendra Hypolite, MSW (she/her) is a passionate social worker and program manager. Throughout her career, she has focused on advocating for reproductive justice, serving the LGBTQ communities, and supporting historically excluded and marginalized students. Kendra most recently served as the project coordinator for the Black maternal health projects at ETR, where she evaluated public health projects that centered the needs of Black women and families. Before that role, she worked at the Family Resource Center at the University of Pennsylvania, supporting, and advocating for students and post-doctoral fellows with children. While in that role, Kendra also served as a volunteer advisor for students who had cases with the Office of Student Conduct and for students who had filed complaints to the Title IX office. Kendra was also a psychotherapist at a therapy practice that centers the LGBTQ community. Kendra received her degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, earning her master's in social work and her bachelor's degree in Health and Societies.
Kendra is originally from Trinidad and Tobago, so she enjoys the Bay Area's year-round warm weather. Kendra is committed to building supportive spaces and advocating for members of the UCSF community who experience racial discrimination and harassment.
